My POA was Miami, FL. Everything went smooth and easy. As soon as they heard my hubby was in the military, nobody asked anything further. They are big on that, which was fine by me :) They didnt check my bags, just screened them trough. |

I came prepared with lots of evidence: car rentals, hotel rentals, receipts with both of our names on it during our entire relationship and during his visit after filling for visa. The consul really wasnt all that nice, and I had to assume it was due to the fact we were an interracial couple. I had to motion and mention to each and every paper that proved my then fiance presence in our country and that our relationship is for real. He kept asking me question from my skype logs and questions like - Where did you two live together? How many square meters was the apartment? (????wth) Since we met on a military base, he wasnt familiar that civilians may enter and that the base is like a small town with bars, restaurants etc, so he was surprised we met there. Then he asked me questions about his military position and how come he was working as a postal clerk on the base if he is military. ( Again, not fimiliar with military procedures etc.) It went on and on and on. Finally, the nice Croatian lady that gives you your paperwork, came by and he asked here how is he supposed to do something on the computer and she explained it to him and showed where he can confirm my visa, saying to him- This case is as clean as can be. Then he approved it and said Good Luck. I couldnt wait to be out of there. Its a nice touch that they give you a copy of your medical, since I needed it for AOS. Thank God all of that is over. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
