Embassy Review : |
Our interview was on Oct.3, 2012 @6:45. We arrived at the consulate around 6:35 am I knew we didn’t have to be there at 5 am as I read many reviews here on VJ. We were asked to get in line #2 and a couple of minutes later an Consulate worker with a shirt that stated INFO on his back asked for our interview letter and handed us Magic Number 374. Once the line continued to move the men and women were separated and went thru the security check. At which point I had to go back outside because I bought with me a USB flash drive and I had to get rid of it. Luckily I didn’t have to wait on the long line again. We were inside at about 7:15 am. After a while were where called to window #27 were we were asked to submit forms 156, 156k, 157. The girl asked us IF WE HAD ANY CHILDREN IN COMMON? We both stated NO. She asked us to go to window 15 and pay the VISA fee and come back to her with the receipt. After that were seated again for about an hour. Were where then called to line 17 to get his fingerprints. At about 10 or 11 we were called to window 23. When I arrived at the window I noticed the famous Green ticket on top of our file. I got excited because I knew we would get an approval. She swore us in. Lady asked “WHERE DID YOU GUYS MEET” to which he asked here who she was speaking too. (First mistake ) She asked “IF WE HAD ANY PICTURES” while looking at them she asked out of nowhere “WHERE WAS THIS PICTURE TAKEN”. We both answered she then asked his to fill in my name in form ds156 where it states that he is willing and free to marry me. She asked him “HOW LONG DID YOUR WIFE VISIT YOU FOR THE LAST TIME SHE WAS HERE”, he responded and I stated I am not yet his wife. HE FORGOT how to spell my name. This made the lady asks us to have a seat again. After waiting for about another three hours we were called again to go to window 14 (fraud investigation) They asked him to step inside while I waited outside impatiently for about 20 minutes. Then it was my turn to answer the questions
Questions
Where we meet?
Parents Names?
How many siblings he has and how many I have?
Who do we live with and the names of the people we live with?
What kind of Car do I drive year and color?
Where do we live apt. or home how many bedrooms?
My child’s name and his child’s name?
Where do I work, what do I do and How long I’ve been there, work schedule?
What did we eat last night?
How do we communicate and frequency?
When were we getting married?
When was the first time we had sexual relations and if the lights were on or off?
Did we have sex this morning, last night, when was the last time?
What side of the bed we slept on?
How many times I had visited him?
If he gave me a birthday present and if I gave him a birthday present?
How long was I there the last time I visited him?
If I was religious if he was religious?
Who picked me up at the airport?
What airline did I use?
Do you drink coffee and how do you take it?
While I was in the investigation room they asked me if I had any evidence or pictures. I showed here the pictures I had shown the lady on window 23 and pointed at the humongous bbm chat records when she asked who and how often we communicate.
We were then asked to have a seat about half an hour later we were called to window 23 again She asked him if he had ever had problems with the law and if anyone petition for him before. She then stated the what we were waiting all day to hear. YOUR VISA Is approved. )))))))
I was also surprised because I wasn’t asked for the support documentation.
My best advice is to study as many questions as possible even if you know your partner very well sometime our nerves get the best of us. Be prepared, patient and positive. I hope this review helps you and your loved one in your journey. God knows I couldn’t have done it without all the previous reviews I read here on VJ.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
