oct 23, 2020 - inteview was very easy. Just few questions. They asked my step daughter few questions such as name age dob step father name job . do you talk to your step dad and what does he talk to you about and how frequently. our case was child custody related.
one thing keep in mind, give them all the evidences. dont take chances. if you dont give enough evidences, they will 221g.
June 10, 2019 in our first interview they gave 221g and asked us to give all evidences of list of all invitees, list of vendors used in marriage, jewelry shopping, shopping for marriage dresses, and major thing was do you have your ex husband's permission or letter to take child with you? she didn't know it was needed. so we got one year to submit all the requested items.
we had to deal with court case to get custody and it took 10 months to get the custody. Oct 1, 2020, We dropped off the requested items in 221g at VAC including the court custody papers.
Oct 6, 2020 we got a letter from mumbai consulate to make appointment and do the medical because it had expired. They asked to bring 2019 W2s and 2019 tax return as well. The visa interview went well. they were satisfied with all the evidences we presented. The second interview was very simple. IR-1/IR-2 visa issued because more than 2 years since marriage.
