Landed in JFK NY airport. Had interview at customs where they took fingerprints, asked to fill out few forms, explaining what I had on me. The questions asked were where I met my fiance, how long have we known each other, did I graduate from University, did I work, what type of job did I have, when did we plan to get married and why was I here?:) well, in another words interview here was lot longer then in Georgia with Consulate. After two and a half hours I was out and happy that we finally made it and now we are together after months and months of waiting.. Thank you Visa Journey, you've been a great help! |

Patience is all it takes, EAD card was processed in Missouri while Application on Permanent Residency is being processed in CA. Appearently to speed up process, however, for three months already the status is the same "Initial Review" on I485. |

Interview went fairly quick, was asked to sign paperwork that I submitted, then was told to have a seat, after few minutes was called again to sign few other forms and then to go to the next window to see the Consular. He didn't look at any pictures or supporting documentation, just asked few questions about when we met, how long have we known each other and when we were planning to get married. After these questions he smiled and said I would have my passport delivered home in few days. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
