Embassy Review : Ok so after missing my flight on the 12th and having to return to the airport on the 13th Mother's Day! I finally arrived in santiago at 11:30 on sunday! My baby bought me a gift and wished me a Happy Mother's day and we left things home and went to go eat out. We took things easy and didnt asked ourselves any questions in reference to the interview. Decided to relax that day. Went to be at 9pm that night, we got up at 2am to get ready and were on our way to the consulate by 3:30am. On the way there we got pulled over by cops that stated that my hubby's car registration had expired and that he could not be driving I panicked!! After my hubby explained our situation and had to pay!!..1000 pesos they let him go us go on our way....we arrived at the consul by 5am in which the line had already formed. At about 6:20am a young began checking paperwork and asigning numbers. We were number 63. We got in and sat down on those metal benches by 7am. At roung 7:30am we were called to window number 17 and greeted by a nice older lady whom asked us for castel's paper work. I lifted by my big bag full of proof and asked which documents do you need? She was like WOW thats alot lol...then she said I need his forms he filled out and his passport, cedula, police clearance and thats it. So Castel handed everything over to her. She asked if the baby we had with us was Caslyn and I answered yes. And then she asked has Castel ever been arrested we both said no, and then we were asked to sign the docs and to go pay a fee at window 12 of $80 dollars. After that we sat for about 1 hour til he was called to window number 13 for finger printing and then we sat again 9am when we were called to window number 21! I was freaking out and he said relax we'll be fine. I heard so many bad things about window 21 but keep cool. The interview lasted no more then 5 mins! She was a caucian woman with blond hair and she appeared blank no me. She told us to raise our right hands and swear that we were telling the truth and we did. she then asked castel: Have you ever been married-we both answered no, she then asked me: 1- I see that you have a baby with castel -I said yes
2- She asked I noticed that when you became pregnant you were still legally married to your ex-husband, I then answered yes and explained that my ex didnt want to give me the divorce even though we had been separated for years and that when he finally agreed to it took months to be legalized, 3- She then asked how we meet and I answered, while traveling to DR in 2008 he was with a group of friends but we didnt start dating til 2010. 4- She asked why we didnt marry in DR and why I wanted to get married in the US. I answered that my mom was a stay home wife and didnt work therefore there wasnt enough money and second my dad is afraid of airplanes and then me and castel answered together that his parents come fly in as they had visas. She then asked for Caslyn's Birth certificate in which I provided with Castel's name added on ;-). She smiled and said you have been approved!! I was in shock for like a few seconds and then jumped up and gave castel a kiss. We said thank you and smiled back. We then were told to pay DOMEX and were out of there by 9:30am!! We were so happy it was finallyy over! Speed03 had been sitting next to us we would ask every other questions about what was asked lol He was Approved too!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
