Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 9, 2006
Embassy Review : American hubby not allowed inside, very parinoid folks there.
This was the old consulate, I never saw the new facility.
Wife found a good chinese lawyer, who did all the overview, very worth the investment.
They were located just outside the consulate gate, and made sure I had water & a chair while wife was inside being processed.
Consulate made some kind of error in her visa to USA, we had to stay overnight to return the next day.
No apology offered, no explanation.

I suppose it could have been much worse tho.
Rating : Moderate

Local US CIS Office Review: Seattle WA
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : December 9, 2006
Embassy Review : As you would expect from these yahoo's, new facility (can't afford to educate our kids, but they can build new facilities to police people here...), seemed like almost all personnel new to job, stiff, by-the-book, afraid to make mistake, etc.

Actual interview was going well, until I mentioned something I did not have paperwork covering, so we had to return with documentation, divorce of 2nd wife.

2nd interview was introduction, check new doc's, stamped OK on paperwork, said "OK, you will be mailed AOS notice & "greencard", "NEXT".
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
