Embassy Review : |
Our appointment was at 7:15 am, but we arrived 5 minutes late, and it wasn't a problem. Everyone else was scheduled for the same time. We had to fill out a label for their documentation when we arrived with a man sitting out in the room. He was helpful throughout our time at the consulate.
After this everyone went into a small room to submit their forms and the affidavit of support. However, there was a power failure in the middle of this process and the people forgot to call us into the room until we approached them and asked why everyone else had gone through the process and we hadn't. The lady apologized and called us in. She was ok to deal with.
The actual interview was very simple and easy. We were asked to swear to tell the truth, then describe how we met. He was very nice, and approved us after about 5 minutes, maybe less. He didn't even ask to see the evidence of our continued relationship.
Overall, we spent from 7:20 am to 1 pm at the consulate. The last 2 hours were unnecessary because of them forgetting us. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
