So we got there around 8 and our interview was at 8:15am.
Security was easy there was like # people in front of us. So we were told to go
to the top floor and we were called around 8 : 40am by this lady. She was ok , very straight forward.
My husband tried to have a conversation like how are you doing etc on our way to her office and she was very short with him. Ok so we went to her office which I felt was the longest walk of my life. Anyway so we get there and I am about to sit my butt down and she says hold on and she swears us in. So she goes on to ask how we met, we answered. She asked how long have we been dating ? we answered and then she was like wasn\'t that too soon to get married and I am wondering is it part of her business? really and my husband was like we just clicked and there was no going back. She kept wanting to know more about how we met and we told her more. She asked about my husband\'s job since he used to work where I lived and that strengthened the relationship. She asked for stuff we have together. we showed it to her, bank statements, car insurance , life and health insurance. This lady kept asking what we own today and I am sitting there like we have been married less than a year we are now building our life together. Anyway i was so frustrated because she sounded like she doubted us. So goes on to ask why I am applying with my maiden name and I was like I thought it would complicate the process and she was like no it wont, and she kept pressing why I am not taking my husband\'s name. I was sick of it so I was like if it is not going to complicate matters go ahead and change it. I felt she was just trying to check if we were really married. Ok so she told us she need out car insurance cards instead of the policy, so we need it to bring it back and i thought she going to reschedule another interview but she said we should be back before 3 30pm and gave us a come back pass. It was around 9 :30am at this time and we live like 30 minutes away. Anyway I forgot to mention that we took tax transcripts and she said she needs the w2s that go with it so we have to bring that back too. Any my husband mentioned that we were looking to buy a house so she needed documents too omg. I thought he was stressed out so he blurted it during one of her questions. We didn\'t want to talk about the house because my name is not in the paperwork because I am not credit worthy yet. Anyway so on our list of things to bring back was the w2s, the car insurance cards, new house paperwork and oh also , there was a large deposit in our checking account for my husband\'s job that was not normal with our regular deposits so she wanted a copy of that check. My mother in law later said that maybe she was suspecting that I was paying him to apply for me. Anyway we returned after gathering all the documents and lunch to calm down a bit because I told my husband that i have a feeling we were going to have a stokes interview. Omg I feel like I am writing an essay. Ok so let me bring out home for you, i am killing you with suspense. So we went back and she gave us her number to call her when we got to the parking garage so we did. Oh I forgot to mention the parts that was making her suspicious was also when she asked to see our debit cards and my husband had lost his the week before omg i was about to die. Anyway so back to when we returned. We called her that we were there and she said ok. We through security. this was around 1pm. they called her that we were in and we waited and waited and waited she came to call us around 2pm and checked to make sure we had everything on the list she gave us , so she said she needs to photocopy the stuff and we apologized and said we would have done the copies if we knew she needed copies so we went to the copy room with her as she copied all the documents and she just asked us where the house is etc and why my name is not on the paper work so we told her it because he is getting the loan but my name will be on the deed anyway i felt we were approved when she said this is only temporary so you can submit new information when you are applying for the permanent one. When she was done with the copying she escorted us out and I asked her so is that it? and she said yeah you will hear from me omg why couldn\'t she just say you are approved. Anyway she took my I 94 card and didn\'t give me a stamp. I was so stressed out. So around 4 45pm i got an update on the case that we were approved. Yep that is some kind of story. Good luck. Just stay calm.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
