Port of Entry : Washington DC
POE Date : 2012-12-22
Got EAD Stamp :
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 5
Comments : I waited almost 2 and half hours just to get through immigration. CBP officer was a very rude lady. It took her 15 minutes to interview me. Biometrics and finderprints taken. She asked me questions like what is his job, if I know his name' where does he live etc etc. I got through customs like in 10 minutes' that part was easy. So make sure that you fill I-94 form and customs form before you go immigration and customs.

Consulate Review: Ankara, Turkey
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 17, 2012
Embassy Review : I was there at 7.25 am and I waited outside almost an hour. It doesn't make any difference if you go there earlier or not because they do not let you go inside until 08.30. The guys at the gate were rude. They didn't let us to wait in the line. A police guy took my passport around 8.35 am but they do not even let you ask questions! Then I needed to wait inside but still in the garden till 9.00 am. A turkish lady make me enter inside the building and asked for my documents as: criminal records (both from Turkey and Italy since I also lived in Italy before). If you lived in another country more than 6 months, be ready to bring also criminal record from that country and its official translation/approval into turkish and english even though they don't ask it when they send you the requirement list, also my birth certificates, proofs, pictures, medical test, bank receipt etc.So with the number they gave me I started waited inside. Around 9.10 a turkish lady called me to ask questions about my italian criminal record and she asked original of the document hopefully I had it with me. Then I started waiting again. Around 9.20 am they called me to give my fingerprints. Couple minutes after around 9.25 am or so they called me for my interview Since I prefered to speak in english my interviewer was an american lady. She was very very nice!It was like I was chatting with one of my friends. She asked me questions like: ''How we met, when'' how did he propose me?, how was our engagement ceremony, if I met his parents , if they met my parents, how did it go when his parents met my parents etc'' and some other additional questions and she said congratulations, your visa is approved, you can go to UPS desk to give your address)

Note: Be ready for cold Ankara weather also inside the building it was very cold. About the interview; do not even worry if you are a real couple, everything is going to be alright just be yourself and relax! About the documents, pls make sure that you bring necessary documents I mentioned above even though they dont ask it on requirement list.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
