Event Description

Embassy Review : After not sleeping properly the night before as I was nervous, I was up VERY early and headed out to the US Embassy. I arrived there around 5:30am. I was the 3rd person there!
I waited until just after 7am, with 2 HUGE bags filled with pictures - wedding and from over the years, telephone records, skype records, bills from vacations, wedding planners- ALL expenses and bills, car insurance, US health cards, bank statements, job letters, birth & baptismal certificates, Income tax returns and I864, husband's passport showing stamps, money transfer receipts, husband's bills, and a WHOLE lot more!
Then a guard came and talked to us about getting in line for Visitor's VISAs, then Migrant VISAs. We then had to proceed inside, WITHOUT cellphones! Thank God my father-in-law was with me! So I gave it to him to hold. For those not so fortunate, they would have had to leave the line and go around the corner to pay a small fee to have someone keep it for the time being.
I entered just after 7:30am, took a number (thank God I was 1st! yay) and was given a folder in which to put all the documents I wished to submit to the officer (taxes & I864). had my name called around 7:40am - first I went to see a very nice lady who went through my documents with me, asked about what job I planned to continue with, how did I meet my husband and small talk, and my prints were taken. I was then sent back outside to sit and wait until they called me again, which was not long after.
Then I went to another window, where I was asked to swear that all the info was correct and a few other questions on my job and husband's job. After logging those heavy bags around, no-one asked to see anything! I even offered!
I left there at 9am and collected my packet a few days later.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
