As of April 6, 2021 we are still waiting on the interview date.

Have they given you an interview date yet or just notified you that the paperwork has arrived to Honduras? We received notice that we were documentarily qualified at the end of November and haven't heard since.

I submitted an expedite request on May 7th that got approved on June 10th. I received an email that my case was forwarded to the embassy on June 14th. Apparently, an interview date was set, but ended up getting cancelled. I checked my case status and it shows ready for interview, but don't have an interview date, the embassy will be getting intouch with us soon from what the email says.

Hi, I’m wondering how does the expedite request work? Do you need to have a serious medical condition and provide supportive documentation? (from what I have heard before) or can it be something else? So great that you were able to expedite your case!

I submitted my expedite request to the NVC and they forwarded to the embassy. I based the request on my pregnancy (I was 38 weeks when I submitted my request. I had my baby girl May 19) and financial hardship once on maternity. I didn't provide any evidence as it's not required, but of course it helps your request if your have it. I was not losing anything plus it wouldn't hurt my case if declined. So far on Monday (6/14) my husband received an email from the embassy informing him that certain documents needed to be submitted before the interview date is set up which it was already done since September 2020.

Oh ok thank you soo much for your input, I will be submitting an expedite request as well. 🤞ðŸ¼Just another quick question, did the embassy ask you to re-new any of the civil documents that the NVC requested for? Btw, Congratulations on your new born baby girl! I hope your husband will be able to join you very soon! :)

Thank you! They request for us to submit certain documents again even though they were accepted by the NVC since September. They are even asking us to resubmit the DS260 form electronicaly, but it was already submitted. So am a little confused on certain things they are wanting when it was already done.
Stephanyord on 2021-06-19 said:
Have you checked if the documents they are requesting to submit again have expired? I am assuming they will ask for that since certain documents have expiration dates.

I figured it out after reading it 50xs (LOL). So basically the email is the list of documents my husband needs to have in hand before he gets his interview date that includes his medical exam. Once everything is in order we notify the embassy via email so they can give us a date. None of our documents were expired. The only thing I did update and resubmitted was the I864 because they requested 2020 & 2019 taxes.

My husband contacted one of the credited physicians in Tegu and he's set up for his medical on July 6 at 8:30am.

Yes. None of them have expired. The only document that has expiration date is "antecedentes policiales" and they expire in a year. Ours don't expire until September. We just have to wait until my husband received his medical results so we can get a interview date.

Congratulations on your visa acceptance! I've been following your timeline and just recently received an interview for September, but your updates have given me a lot of hope in the past few months while we continued to wait! Happy that your family can be reunited.

Thank you! Everything will turn out good for you guys. Best of luck.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
