Consulate Review: Juarez, Mexico
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 21, 2011
Embassy Review : First of all thanks to all VJ members because all your experience worked for us Thank God we were approved yesterday so I'm gonna tell you all our experience in Consulado de Juarez.
Saturday september 17: My boyfriend took a taxi from El Paso Airport to Ibis hotel in Juarez for 60 dlls he said there was quick because just 4 cars were before his taxi waiting in line to cross the border but the other side (crossing from mexico to usa) it was a long line. I took a taxi from Juarez Airport to Ibis hotel for 20dlls (245 pesos) everything was pretty safe nice people but anyways don't trust anyone keep your information with you you"ll never know.
At the hotel we had a problem with a/c it was 26C inside the room! so we asked for another room and after 1 hour they gave us an other one 17C. We really don't wanted to go out but we were starving so decided to go to Applebee's (inside of Plaza Misiones Liverpool) and took a taxi from Ibis to the mall for 30 pesos but it was really close (just crossing the avenue 10 mins walking) So after had lunch we decided to walk to the hotel we had no wallet or purse or anything else just cash and cellphones. On sunday we went to denny's to have breakfast walking again it is a nice option to eat anytime also they sell beer =) so went to check where the consulate was located and it's just 1 block or so like 2 mins walk. Monday september 19 we woke up at 4:30 am and got prepared for the medical exam, at 5:05 we were at the Clinica medica internacional, but the thing was that we didn't received packet 3 or invitation letter not even in usa, so the guard asked for my papers (passport, invitation letter and the email that you print with your appointment date) so I told him that we didn't received the invitation letter and he said ok go inside and make the line but i don't know what the doctors gonna tell you if they said no you have to leave and i was ok, let's see, so my boyfriend went to make a line at the consulate to ask for the letter but was 5:15 and they open the information window at 7:30 so poor of my babe!!! meanwhile at the clinica medica internacional took us to the other clinic I don't know why but all my medical exam was at the other one ( so even when you choose one they can take you to the other one but it's the same so no problem) Once there I asked to a guard if I'm gonna need my invitationletter and he said yes but let's see what happens so at 6:00 am they start to ask everybody for the documents and gave you a number in a post it then go outside and make a line and we waited for our number to be called to take our data and a picture, after that I was like OMG they didn't noticed that I didn't have my invitation letter! so I enter to the X ray room took my upper clothes off and then waited againg for blood test, they called in groups of 10 people or so and after that went upstairs and waited to be called again they took your pressure, eyesight exam and asked if you have childrens or your last date of period, then the doctor (female for women) said take all your clothes and asked you a few questions like if you took drougs or have a criminal record, have you been pregnant or had any surgery and that's all. Then I went to the cashier and payed 184 dlls. Outside were my boyfriend waiting for me with the letter!!! He said that there was a few people asking for the letter because at the clinic didn't let them took their medical test, so both were like Thank God they didn't said anything to us! I was out at 8:30am and had my ACS appointment (fingerprints) at 10 am but we were outside at 9:30 and they let me in because it was a short line like 10 people they asked me for the Appointment email and the Invitation letter (receintly printed) passport and DS260 (the barcode one) It was really quick like 10 minutes and that was it! So we went to have lunch at food court in plaza las misiones (Liverpool) then went to the movies had icecream and then go back to the hotel to rest and got ready for the big day!
We woked up at 5:30 got dress then walked to the Sala de espera ( betweeen ACS and The consulate) at 6::20 am they asked for your papers like passport DS260 and the 3 pages email appointmen date, also the invitation letter, then they said no cellphones, cosmetics, or any metal then walked to the consulate and other guys cheked your documents again and tolme to go in the line "e" and went thru security like in the airport and after that they printed you a number mine was 5058 =) then walked down the open waiting area around 6:56 am and at 7:35 I saw my number on the screen and went inside the building to the window 35 the lady asked for my documents the black envelope from the clinic, DS260, My birth certificate, passport, and DS156 and 156K also the I134, W2 and all the papers that I got from my boyfriend like letter from his job, bank statements and 2 pictures of me she put the pictures in the form and told me to signed on 3 of then also I signed the last page of the packet 3 that we had already download from the consulate page the one that says you intent to marry this person within 90 days etc...Then I seated and waited and at 8:58 I saw my numer again! window 50 It was a man around his 30's asked me if I want the interview in english or spanish I said english and he said to raise my hand blah blah blah tell the trut etc... He asked me who's asking for you? I said my boyfriend's name and he said how did you met ( I told the romantic story of us) asked if when we're planning to get marry, where's my boyfriend right now ( I said outside the building) if we have childrens or other marriages, where does my boyfriend works? if I have my wedding gown and where do I got it and because I'm a graphic designer I had a sample of our invitation wedding and told him he said can I see it? Yes of course! he was impressed and said that's so cool you're a great graphic designer and I said thanks =D, where did a learn english, and if I have been in usa and over stayed or work without permit 9 of course not) then said do you have your laser visa and I gave to him then he said congratulations you're approved! I was so happy and almost jump LOL he said wait and check for DHL and congratulations again! Then I wanted to run and go outside but kept calm down and after crossing the final door I was looking for my boyfriend with a big smile on my face then I said yes we're approved! big kiss and that's it
We're waiting for DHL, planning to get marry one week after I receive my visa
Thanks again! =D

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
