Consulate Review: South Africa Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : April 12, 2012 Embassy Review : Interview Date for K-1 Visa.... We waited for the police clearance, was originally told it would take 6-8 weeks and it only took 2... Had to wait a few weeks over due to courier error. The day after we got the police clearance, the consulate made our interview date for 6 DAYS LATER! This created a time crunch, but we are happy to press forward so quickly. The medical appt was made for the next day, knowing it was a time crunch, they squeezed us in (Thank goodness!) Our main contact at consulate has been responsive and kept good communication. Very pleased with his work. This consulate seems efficient however lacks a bit on the technology side. Email communication has been inconsistent and poor in quality. Otherwise a GREAT experience so far... Will see how the ACTUAL interview goes. Fingers crossed we continue with a good experience. Rating : Good
