Event Description

Embassy Review : We arrived at approximately 5:30am, got in line and laughed at the buscones trying to confuse people. At about 6:30am we were inside with lucky #136. Why did we go to sleep late at midnight...now we are dead tired. About an hour after being inside we get called to turn in hubby's docs and get his fingerprints. Hubby decided to get breakfast about 30 mins after. While he got breakfast I looked around and saw people with albums and packets of documents, thougt to myself well I am not the only one ready to proof myself to these people. So my gordo and I had breakfast and continued to wait. It got to a point that they were calling all numbers around or close to ours but not 136. After about 2 1/2 hours of waiting (hubby and I were just already tired and running out of patience). Hubby tells me "Toy jartoooo...vamonos"...I was like wth? Como que vamonos...and I hear 136 casilla #24. He goes vamonos que nos toca, he had seen the # a it dropped into the screen before they called it thru the speaker and that why he said vamonos...lol! So we go, get sworn in and he signs the DS230. The lady opened up our packet anc took out the pictures I had sent with the I130 and asked the following questions:
1. Where was this picture taken at? (mother's day at his house)
2. How long have you know eachother? (since I was 10-11 and he was 14-15)
3. Looked at a wedding picture and asked where the wedding was at and who paid for the wedding? (Atarazana, both of us and her mom helped as well)
4. How many times a year does she visit you? (Well just last year it was a total of 11 flights)....
5. Lady looked at me and said wow can I see your passport...she looked into it and saw all the stamps all over the place and just looked at me and said wow you came alot.

She then closed her huge file and ripped up that green slip and said aprovado! Hubby grabbed me and kissed me and I was kindof lost...I was like that is it?! All this stress for these simple questions. Don't get me wrong I am glad it was easy but holy crapppppp I never would of imagined it would of been 5 minutes.

BTW window 21 was seperating all couples, even a pregnant lady and her husband. Hubby says he saw the green slip towards the beginning of the interview when the lady was pulling out the pics from the file.

Hope this helps you all!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
