Embassy Review : Our interview was scheduled for Friday June 15th at 6:45am. As soon as we were driving close to the embassy a guy came running towards us telling where to park at the street for $200 pesos hahahaha... I was having so much fun looking at the buscones they tell you that you need to staple your pictures and arrange your paperwork. We said nooo thank you! We got there around 430am and were in by 6:30am. My husband kept telling time like he was an alarm clock and everyone close to us at the line kept laughing about that. I wasn't nervous at all which was surprising. After going through security I was expecting the infamous metal benches but to my surprise all of the benches had cushions and they were not uncomfortable. The had huge fans and it wasn't hot at all. We kept looking around at the casillas (small cubicles bank-like but they were enclosed in front of a huge glass wall... We got lucky number 87 not like it matters since numbers are not called in order but when we saw couples being called close to our numbers we thought we were closer lol. We were called to window 19 where a Dominican lady took his passport and asked us a few questions about our paperwork (like our address etc) and then told us to sit down. My poor husband had to get me like 15 cups of water I guess my nerves got me that way lol. We were called to window 21!!!! yes we were so scared since I told my husband that was the investigation cubicle. When we got there a lady told us to sit back down and someone else would take care of our case... That got me really nervous but we did just that and hoped for the best. After about an hour we were called to window 20!!! what a relief! The lady swore us in and then asked us a few questions:

How did you meet? my husband said something totally screwed up lol and I had to "fix" the story somewhat so it would be understandable lol. Then she said "so you have a mutual friend"

Was he in a relationship when you two met? I Said noooooo.
How many brothers do you have? I responded
How many brothers and sisters does he have? I responded
Why didn't your mom came to the wedding? She is insanely afraid of flying and we are having a party as soon as he comes. (white lie the party part lol)
She asked for my passport and took a look at every page.
She asked to see pictures then pointed to his niece "what's her name?" I forgotttttt omg!!! then i remembered... But I know her so much how did i forget hahaha
Then she asked to see more pictures he picked up our wedding album she was like wooow how pretty then my husband place our pictures on the little hole and she said ok ok thats a lot... (Basically I organized my pictures by trip in clear sandwich bags. I had like 500 pictures!)
Then she asked him if he had committed any crimes he said NUNCA/NEVER
Have you traveled outside DR? He said No.

Notice that the only thing my husband said was this NUNCA lol he was so nervous i had to do the talking hahaha...
THEN SAID SAID "CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!"

My advise is: There is no advise hahahaha when you get there regardless of how sure or unsure you are you never know what to expect or how nervous you are going to get hahaha drink water like I did and wait for your number to be called i wish you the best!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
