Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 8, 2014
Embassy Review : Writing for my fiancee, she went to the interview and this is what she told me.

She said everyone was nice, even the security guards were playing catch with some children waiting in line.
Her appointment was at 7:30, but 8:45 (her time) she texted me.
Needless to say she was very happy and excited. She told me that the interview took five minutes tops. The interviewer asked:

* Where did we meet?
* When did we first meet in person?
* The previous question was followed up with "so you've visited him the one time?" (She visited me more than that one time).
* What do I do (me) for a living?
* And he wanted to see if she had two pictures of us together (which she did have)

She told me that it was over so quickly that she didn't even realize the interviewer had already given her back her documents.

The interviewer told her that the AOS is going to take 4 weeks to 3 months so we should have a great honeymoon while we wait. Personally, I like this interviewer just for that advice.

Some interesting things: apparently, our petition was twice as big as the others there. Well, we've been dating for 8 years, so, more info, I guess.

A couple of tips she just told me:

* bring some extra pics of you and your partner together. They may ask for a couple.
* you will most likely have to buy stamps for your DHL envelope, but at the time of this writing, the vending machine doesn't take the new five Euro bills. So bring coins.

She was very happy with the Consulate. They were friendly, nice and very helpful.

Thank you all for your help and attention. Hope this helps others.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
