Great POE. Only took about 30 minutes to go thru all of the process once we got to CBP officer. They gave us the I-94 and sent us with docs to secondary screening, where we were taken all the papers, and our luggage was scanned. No problems at all. |

My fiancee went to interview today for K-1 Visa.
So everything starts at the storage unit, where you leave your belongings. Then you go to the consulate the put your docs thru X-Ray and let you in thru Metal Detector.
Her appointment was at 9:30 she arrived at 8:40 and didn't got to the IV section till 9:40. So pretty slow, but she wasn't complaining.
Today they were extremely slow as they had some issues with fingerprint machine, and they had to take it twice. Also there was a big line to pay the visa fee, as someones CC wasn't working so it took them an hour to figure it out.
Then she got called to submit her docs, and they made her to take everything out of the folders so don't bother to put it really nice, as they will make you to take out anyway.
About an hour later she got called to the interview with really nice CO. Who spoke russian to her (slow but correct), while she was answering in English, he continued spoke russian. He already had an approval paper ready while trying to fix his computer that didn't want to print. He asked her only few question.
1. How did we got introduced to each other?
2. How many times we've seen each other and where? (looked at the photos from DR vacation)
3. What do I like to it?
4. What kind of person am I?
This was it. I probably was more stressed waiting for her to call me then she was during the interview.
The only thing she noted that it was VERY COLD.
I am still putting a 5 as this is how she rated it. I probably would give it a 4

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
