POE: Fort Lauderdale, FL. It was pretty straightforward. I was with him coming in and they had us both wait in the waiting room while they reviewed everything. It took about 20 minutes. I did notice that they were not overly friendly, but at least they were efficient. |

Embassy Review : |
He went into the embassy about 8:45 for his 9:30 appointment, and he finished about 12:15. He had the young white guy interviewing him. He asked about 10 questions – here are the ones Lance could remember, not necessarily in order:
Write both our names on a piece of paper.
When did you meet your fiancé?
How many times has she visited you?
Where did you stay when she visited?
Has she ever been to Jamaica before she met you?
Where does your fiancé work?
What do you plan to do for work when you get to the US? (Lance said we would get married first and then after he got his work visa maybe security, because that’s what he does now – then the interviewer shook his head and said no, you should do something else because security isn’t as good of a job in the US as in Jamaica – nice of him to give tips!)
When you guys talk on the phone, what do you talk about?
Where is she now?
When is the last time you saw her?
Does she have kids?
Do you have kids? (Lance said no, and the guy responded, U sure? LOL!)
Who took the pictures of you guys together?
The guy didn’t say “you’re approved” or “congratulations”, he just told Lance to take a ticket to the window to pay and then when he realized he was paying the DHL fee he knew he was approved!
Lance seemed to think the interview was pretty easy and he was so happy! He said the interviewer seemed cool and it was too bad they couldn't hang out some time. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
