Embassy Review : |
Well the day of the interview finally arrived, and not wanting to be late, I arrived outside the embassy at 12:00 and decided to go for some lunch at Rolys across the street. The place gives you a view of the embassy to the side, so quite handy for seeing if a q is forming.
At 12:45 I walked over and they let me in immediately. Passed through Security and then up the ramp to the right, and waited to be called. I was second in line, and was amazed to see the couple in front had forgotten the photos and also the affidavit of support. Would recommend if you think you dont need it, you do and sure if you dont, its best to be prepared. I was then called to the
cashier and they took a Irish postal Order for €263 made payable to The US Embassy Dublin..
About 10 mins later, I was called and my forms were taken from me, namely DS-156 x2, DS-157.
5 minutes later I was called to speak to the American CO. He asked for me to sign DS-230 Part II, and then asked for Photos of me and my Fiancee, which he looked at and passed back to me.
He then asked some questions.
1. When did you and your Fiancee Meet
2. When did you last see each other
3. As its been a while since we last saw each other, the next question was how do we keep in touch, Skype and Messenger being the reply.
He then said thats it. I asked could he tell me when I would know the outcome, and he replied you should have you visa in about a week to 10 days.
So I think once your preapred, there shouldnt be a problem. A very Pleasant experience. Thank you US Embassy Dublin :-)

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
