Embassy Review : |
Hey Everyone!! So this is my story:
Interview time was 8.30am this morning. I didn't want to take the risk of being late so got the 5.44am train from Kings Langley into Euston, then Euston to Bond Street. I arrived outside the embassy at around 6.50am. Yes EARLY and it was FREEZING (literally!). Meanwhile, I am feeling a mixture of emotions including excitement, tiredness (only got 3 hours sleep lol), anxiousness and sickness (5 months pregnant at 6.45am, not a good mix).
Sat down till about 7.05am the walked over to the security box which said "VISAS". I was the first in line!! :P hee hee. At 7.30ish a woman came out and asked to see my appointment letter and asked if I had any electronics. (fyi...don't even bring your KEYS!!) I said no and continued through security where I was told to have a sip out of my water bottle...haha.
Got into the embassy at around 7.40 and got the number I-901. At 8.15 I was called....and it begins!!
There was a younger English man sitting there. He asked for my appointment letter and passport, then went to get my file (about 1 inch thick BRIGHT pink thing). He took my Birth certificate + copy, Police certificates from both UK and Canada (he noticed I lived there for 2 years), 2 photos, I-134 + letter from Chris's employer. Also, my MRV receipt and fingerprints.
He asked if I ever had a US visa before... I have, so said yes and he asked what visa it was and told him it was an H4 which he said was fine. Then he sent me off with a Delivery form to fill in and told me to wait for the same number to be called.
At 9.15am I was called to the interview part and I was a nervous wreck!! This time it was a middle aged American man. He asked for my finger prints again, had me hold up my right hand to swear oath and sign a form. He then went on to ask me some questions:
- Does your Fiance go by Christopher or Chris: Chris
- How and when did we meet?
- What does Chris do?
- How long has he been in this profession?
- What do I plan to do for work when I get to the US?
- What did I study in Texas?
- When did we get engaged?
- How do you know Chris is the person you want to marry?
Then, I am glad approve your visa and congrats!! HAPPYYYYY FACE! lol I could have kissed him...plus the preggie hormones were REALLY kicking in.
So went to pay my 14.80 at the courier desk and was out by 9.30am!
YEAH BUDDY!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
