Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 2, 2012
Embassy Review : Sorry for taking so long to write the review have been very busy. I was so very worried about having the visa approved because was dealing with many issues with money and changing careers and recent divorce and a fiancée that was 18 and never been out of the province before. So I went back to do everything with her. After ready many reviews of people having a very hard time and being denied for many different reasons. I prepared for the worst armed with a million documents and very well thought out explanation.

I won’t go through the typical walk through. I will just tell you if you are considering going then GO it is well worth it. Just dress nice and be polite and all will go amazingly well. I was 1 of only 3 Americans there that day. Other two were not dressed well and they seem to have little more problems than us. We were not asked hardly any questions I was not even sure the first interview had happened until we were at the second and were basically only asked how we met and if you planned to get married in 90 days then bam we were approved it was amazing. I was very shocked how easy it was after sitting and here many girls being drilled for 20 mins at windows first window took 3 mins last interview was told we were approved in almost less than a min. Each time I was told thank you for coming. I think it makes a big impression for the American petitioner to show up.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
