My fiance had his interview on October 12th and just picked up his passport from the VFS office in Jalandhar yesterday. Overall, he said it was an easy experience. He was called by the asian guy. He asked him 4 questions:
1) Fiance\'s name
2) Fiance\'s job
3) Why we are getting married in the U.S.
4) How we met
Then the CO said \"You\'re Approved\"
He was unable to submit his papers to the VFS office prior to his interview, but he took his papers to the interview and they accepted the papers before his interview.
He\'ll be here end of November, I can\'t wait!!!

Embassy Review : |
Our appointment was at 9:45 am, we weren\'t called in until 10:00 am. Once we were called in, the IO was really nice. He swore us in. We were in his office for maybe 20 minutes. He asked for our CA ID\'s. He wanted to make copies, but we had copies and we just handed them to him. He asked for my husbands EAD card, we had a copy of that too. He asked for my husband\'s social security card. He made some changes on our I-485 application. He asked if we lived together. We gave him bank statements, PG&E bill, and copies of CC. He also asked me if my husband worked and he asked my husband if I worked. Then he asked where does your wife work? Then he asked my husband is POE date and our wedding date. He looked at my latest pay stub. He didn\'t look at our pictures or any evidence from our honeymoon or our marriage certificate. But he did acknowlege that he saw us holding the album and didn\'t want us to feel like we ignored it. He handed us a paper that said \"FOR FURTHER REVIEW,\" which he said he still needed to do a name check on my husband. Then at 5 pm same day we received an e-mail saying \"CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION.\" We were so excited!!! We are still waiting for the green card, we are expecting it this week.
Advice: Be calm and confident with your answers.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
