Comments : I am sorry for not having all the dates in order. Just really want to let you know if you get a letter stating they need more information to prove that you marriage is true, Do not panic! this is a good thing. I paniced and lost it for a week. I knew I did everything correctly and I was second guessing myself. I prepared more information pictures, credit cards, bank accounts, loans, bills. I got statements from co workers, family and friends. I just didn't know what more that wanted. The letter stated that if the information was not turned in by December my wife would have to leave in January. I looked up the Best immigration lawyer in NC and she charged 175.00 and hour to talk to her. I didn't care but at this point I had to be sure. I took everything with me along with the letter I received. Only for her to tell me that what I had was really over kill and just to send about half of it. The letter for more stuff was to keep from having to interview us. I was told to send everything with both our names on it alone with pictures of both of us and I had all of it right there in front of her. I mailed it off and within 2 weeks she was appoved and the new green card was in the mail. She got her card like a week later right before Christmas.

Embassy Review : Where do I start! 4 am She gets up and the room is ice cold, She jumps in the shower and I wash up in the sink, grab our package and proof and go down to get the car. Her father is waiting in the lobby. We pull up to the consult and a woman is outside telling everyone to let her check you paperwork to make sure everything is ok. Me growing up in Philadelphia know a scam when I see it. They talking spanish ( i can not ) I told my girlfriend do not give her anything. The lady can see that the paperwork was hand written and told my girlfriend that the interview will be denied if it is not typedand that she could go the the schoolbus and get it typed for $300.00!!! I told my girlfriend that that was bull but if she want we can go to the hotel which was around the corner and type it out. She said she would feel better if we did, so here father got the car and we hurried to the hotel. At this piont we where 10th in line. We got to the hotel and type the page out and the second page you could not type on. I had her pull the page up in english and i read the instrutions. I asked her, Wwhere do in say that in MUST be typed. It only said print clearly and not in script. Meaning hand print is good. We went back to get in line now whe are like 4 lines deep maybe 200 people in line now. we got nimber 041 somehow. the guy was doning 2 lines at one time side to side and not in order of arrivial. We get inside and after a short wait our number is called. we go to window 23. The lady there is nice and she asked if I was the husband to be and I said yes I file for my girlfriend. She looked at our paperwork and said one page did not have the barcode on it and had to be redone and there was a recipte missing from Popular bank. and that we had to go to the bank an pay the money for that part. The day before we had went to the bank and they only took 140.00. We told them that it was more but the manger did not want to here anything we was saying. Turns out that everyone that went to that bank had to go back to the bank on interview day. We left the embassy and went to the bank to find most of the people that was in line at the embassy was in line at the bank now waiting for the bank to open! We all paid the extra money and got the recipte, we had to go down the street from the embassy to get the paper with the barcode. Sorry i dont know right off hand what paper it was. We paid 1000 pesos for them to fill out and print the paper for us. The site was down and that is why we could not print it the right way. Also when they tried to print it out for us they had the same problem. The site was down! We was getting ready to leave and the woman said wait it is up now and she printed the paper with the barcode. We went back to the embassy and paid at window 15 with all the paperwork. About 5 minutes later the lady from window 23 call my girlfriend by name over the intercom. She told us that the package was now complete and to wait for the interviewer to call us. WE waited and waited after awhile you can tell how was aproved and who was not and who they sent to window 11 (BAD) the line at window 11 got long and the denials was come out crying and sad.. It was bad.. Then they call our number! This window just denied a couple and my girlfriend was nervous. He asked our name and quickly seen that I did not speak spanish and she spoke ok english! He asked If you don't speak english and he don't speak spanish, how do you communicate with each other. I said we talk on the phone and facebook and emials. He looked at me and said " You go out there and sit down I want to talk to her for a minute" RUDE! I just looked at him and left for the waiting area. I was there maybe 10 minutes if that and I heard My name over the intercom. I went back to the window and he aske me. What day did you propuse to her? I told him. How many times you been married? Who took a shower first this morning? and Where did I purpose to her at? The place that I porpuse was VERY NON traditional and he and the other interviewers had a good laugh about it when she told him! (She told me later) I told him where it was. Then he got quite and started flipping trought papers that was stapled together. ( he was making a desicion and we knew what he was thinking. My girlfriend sad "I'm hungry baby and I knew she wanted to talk so he can see that we had commuication. So I begain to tell her about the dinner she did not eat last night and if she would have ate should would not be hungry and she resopnded to me and offerd to go to get something after the interview and I said ofcourse love you need to eat because you stressed out and we just keep on going while he just listened in ovet the intercom. He pulled out the green ard signed it and placed it under the window and we was approved! We got in the DOMEX line paid them and left.

I was at work typing all of this but it as account of everything. dont mind the spelling please!!! ask me anything and I will help!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
