Comments : On interview day, she was asked for additional evidence of relationship which she submitted on April 20th (Phone records, some more pics, copies of pages from my passport from when I visited her). Still waiting!!

3 months later, on July 12, 2011, she got an RFE email(I was copied) asking for additional evidence of relationship which she submitted the very next day.

More than 10 months since initial visa interview and more than 7 months since response to RFE. Still in AP!!

After more than 13 months in AP she finally got a call from the embassy today, 05/30/2012, asking for new medical and police certificate and a copy of my 2011 tax return. I just ordered a transcript on IRS.gov! Hopefully, this will be over soon.

After a very long wait, visa in hand! Her POE will be exactly 15 months from her interview date.

Comments : Interviewer was a nice lady. After making us swear to tell the truth, she went over questions from app with Janice followed by how long we've known each other, when we met, how we met, my b-day and kids. She then asked me if we had anything jointly yet. I gave her a bank statement and a copy of my newly renewed lease which has her on it. That was pretty much it. We were both in the room the whole time. She said that was it for the day and we should be getting the 2 yr card in the mail.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
