Event Description
Review Date : January 20, 2012
Embassy Review : The interview at the Embassy in Cairo was a stressful experience for the immigrant visa . Arrived at 7:00A.M. and left the Embassy at 1:30 P.M.. They gave me a number and did not call me to the window , by name as it said in the website.I had to go to 2 different windows and speak and answer a few questions. i had to pay DHL $75.00 that same day at the Embassy , so that the Embassy can mail my passport and visa to me . They told me that my visa has been approved and it will take about 1 month to receive it because they are very busy now and have lots of cases . We were married in March 2010 and began the petition in April . It is now January 2012 and have waited for this process to complete for 9 months now . THIS IS A HUGE BURDEN TO CARRY , WAITING AND WORRYING . I wish and hope and pray that , in the future , cases are able to be processed quicker and more efficient. But I thank God that I have been approved .

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
