We got approved on the spot! The interview went so smoothly and only lasted about 10 minutes all up. The officer, a young well spoken asian gentleman, greeted us warmly in the waiting room and took us through some doors and down a corridor to a small very well decorated office. He asked us to come in and stay standing while he asked us both to swear under oath to tell the truth. Then quickly went over our paperwork and everything was in check. He then asked my husband(even though i'm the alien) to explain how we met, where, how long ago, when we decided to get married, where we got married and how life is now that we're married. He didn't ask me any questions which was surprising but I offered up some comments during his questioning which he seemed fine with. I offered to show him our wedding photo album which he said was beautiful as i'm sure he would say to any newly married couple lol and he asked if i would like to submit any paperwork of our joint assets. I gave him our joint bank account statements, our joint phone and cable bills, two joint leases we've had in our relationship, and our joint medical insurance. He didn't even look it all over and then said he was happy to tell us our application was successful and approved and that we will receive my greencard in 3-4 weeks time and handed us the paperwork reminder for the removal of conditions in 1yr9months.He asked if we had any questions, to which we said no, he then said he hopes we have a wonderful day. An hour after we left we got the email notice from the USCIS for the change in our application. WOOHOO! SOOOO HAPPY! My husband was stunned at how smoothly it all went and surprised that we had put 3 hrs on the parking meter and it only really took 30 minutes from the time we stepped into the building. Overall this has been a great day. THANKYOU so much everyone for your help. And a MASSIVE goodluck to anyone else who has the interviews in the near future. Don't sweat it. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
