It was myself and my wife and our two daughters. We were given three separate appointments because we had filed three I485 applications. If you do happen to have children on a K2 to AOS you will have to wait a little longer than other people We had our first appointment at 7am but what our interviewer did was group all of them in one appointment since it was children and an adult. It took about an extra hour for her to group our appointment and review over all the files. By the time we got in it was about 8am maybe an hour after our first appointment. It lasted about an hour, we sat in a room w/ a normal desk and our interviewer first started off by verfiying all documents, meaning birth certificates, IDs, passports, marriage certificate. She will compare what copies you sent in to what is original and check them off as she goes. In the mean time she asked us a couple of general questions, all of which coincided with other interviewees. 1. How did you meet each other the first time and where ? 2. Have you met each others parents and when? 3. What was the wedding like and who was there? 4. How did you propose to her? Basically easy questions for anyone that is telling the truth.
Make sure both the pettitioner and the applicant are bringing all their documents to be verified.
I almost forgot my birth certificate and luckily I found it. She did need it as well.
Other than that it was easy breezy and she approved us. She said expect about 3 weeks to receive the cards. Also if you arrive before 9 am the parking below the building is 10 dollars. Normally 25 after 9am. We ended up getting a hotel the night before to not fight traffic and then we parked at ACE just across the street for 15.00
Best of luck!! |
