Comments : Houston was not too bad. They searched my bags for the first time ever by two officers. The guy was very nice and patient, the lady on the other hand was rude, mishandled the contents of my luggage etc.

Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : April 25, 2012
Embassy Review : I was there at 6 am, first in line and all my papers in the exact order the requirement list puts them. Make sure you have them stacked in a way that you can easily maneuver with them, you have to reorganize them inside.

The first Embassy official was extremely helpful, funny and a total delight. She asked me a few questions about myself, my life and my relationship while she reorganized the documentation.

The CO was also very helpful, asked clear questions, was very polite and patient. I was missing a document that I hadn't known how to procure and she explained to me very clearly how to go about it.

I was in and out in 2h.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
