Event Description
Review Date : December 22, 2011
Embassy Review : Sorry for the delay but it's been more than hectic the last few weeks. thank you all for the prayers, good wishes and congratulations. so like you all know we were aproved

Our appointment was at 7:30 we got to the embassy at 6:45 and asked one of the guys wearing the yellow shirts what to do and he told us to get on that line (the never ending line) he checked the appointment letter and gave us our number... 127, we were in that line for 2 hours :S with the sun right on our faces (thank GOD i had my sunglasses with me) that line moved very slow and when we got close to the entrance we got separated, they send the men to one side and the women too another, because our line moves very slow due to the checking of the purses (ladys, just taking with you the most have/ need too have on me to the interview, that holds up the line) when i finally went in, my baby was saving me a seat because the place was packed; he then went to buy something for us to eat and drink, when he got back i went to the bathroom, when i came out i checked the screen and they were calling our number to window 17, the fun begings jajajajjajaja my husband hadn't finished his croquetas and quipes, i was holding the soda, nervous and trying to get the number out of my pocket (imagine that scene, it caught us offguard, it was 15 minutes after entering the consulate) we got to the window and the lady was already with her hands on the mic to call us by our name jajajajaja, after greetings and some laughs of the juggling of soda, food and ticket, she was also laughing with us jajajjajaja (good start) she gave me back my old passport kept the new one and took the police certificate, the pictures, and exam results, add it to or case folder and asked me go to window 13 and get my fingerprints taken, wished us good luck and as we were walking out of her window, she called us back and when we were half way she asked us if we had kids toogether, to wich we replied back NO and she said ok Good luck. a man heard us when we were asking if that was for line 13 or if we should go directly too it and he told us that get behind his father and so we did, we started joking with him about the people haviing problems placing the fingers on the thingy for the fingerprints and how much or little they extend the hands, he is also from NY, and he was like I KNOW my father is going to extend it like his life depended on it jajajajja and so he did jajajajjajajajajaja extremly funny, they took my fingerprints and did not extended my arms jajajajjajajajajaja. after that we looked around for a place to seat and found one close to the cafeteria, sat down and waiting 30 minutes, we browse through a photo album and went back and foward remembering dates, we suck at that jjajajajajajjaja, checking the couple that were going straight to domex or got separated and asked to wait and those who got denied, started to get nervous and my baby asked me too stop been silly and we changed the subject completly and right there in the middle on the conversation we got call to window 20 to the consulate officer Patrick.

Patrick was our age, 30, he said our names =, like asking us, then asked me if i spoke english and if i felt comfortable enough to do it in english, to wich we replied, english please, ( we previously agreed that it was better in english because theyre spanish is horrible and i'm bilingual, so it was going to be easier and less confusing) he asked me to sign a document and asked us to raise our right hand to swear us in. he started checking the form and asked him for how long have we dated, who do i live with and if he used to live in bani, he said since the sumer of 2004, she lives with ner mom, sister and 9 year old nephew, and that his grandparents live in bani, so yes, he has live there a couple of times, actually overstayed on his vacations jajajjaja patrick cracked up laughing, jajajjajajaja, he asked me if i knew where he works and what he does, then back to him and asked him if he knwe what i studied and where, to where my hubby said that I'm a lawyer and studied at la UASD, the quickly rectified that ansewr and said, "dude my bad, PUCAMAIMA, BUT HEY HOW CAN I REMEMBER THAT, PUCAMAIMA... PSTTT I'M NOT DOMINICAN I DON'T KNOW THAT JAJAJAJAJJAJJAJA patrick was " i know hard name jajajajajjaja" then asked me if i had pictures, i gave him the one that had like 2 pictures of the last 3 years, it was cute, not big and showed the evolution of our relationship) Patrick asked us who's the little girl on the pictures with us, to wich he said his little princes, she is 7, he asked me if i knew her name and that if we had one in common, we said not yet jijijijijijii, and asked me if that was the only child he has and i said, WELL IT BETTER BE, because if not somebody is in trouble jajajjajaja) he asked if the watterfall was in las terrenas, asked us if we did the hicking or got on the horses, we said the horses, he was, like oh no, i was scare of them, we laughed and i said it's just that they're super skinny, so you feel like you are abbusing jajajjaja. who was the couple that is with us in a lot of pictres, we said our best friends and compadres, then he asked us if they were americans (they look like it, she is blond and green eyes and he had dreads back then) we said no, just cool jajajajajjaja. he asked me if i had my old passport because the new one doesn't show my trips to the US, i gave it to him and he started looking and asked me when and where have i been i said Puerto Rico and Miami. Then he passed to the other page and said... Oh i see yoou also traveld to South America! my hubby said yes to Argentina! she calls that studying, i call it traveling, we all laughed and i gave my baby a flirty and mean look jajjajajaj, then patrick looked at my visa to brazil andsaid "oh yeah she was traveling !!jajajaajjaja" then he aske dif my parents were in the states because he sees that a visa petition for residency in the state was done by an uncle, to wich my hubby said, by her aunt, and i added no, they didn't because my dad passed away before it was completed, he said sorry then we all got distracted by the answer that the couple that was next to us gave, it was clearly that they were not understading the question, Patrick started type things on his computer, removed the green ticket from the foolder of our case, put some stamps, gave me the green ticket and said, "well that's it, the visa is approved, go pay domex and wait a couple of days too get your passport back" we got soooooo happy, we kissed and said like a million thnak yous to Patrick and my hubby said, you made my xmas

my baby left on saturday and on monday i had my passport in hand, booked a flight on tuesday afternoon and got to NY on friday the 16. we took advantage of the situation and i brought his little princess to spend xmass with us, since she is american but lives in D.R and had never entered the US, so we are have the best xmas ever, a very family xmas. THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
