Event Description
Review Date : August 20, 2011
Embassy Review : The initial interview was scheduled for 15 August 2011 at 11:00. My husband was the 1st to be called back. He stated that after being called back the interviewer told him that his original birth certificate and marriage certificate were missing along with the translated copies and that the system was down so he would need to return on Friday with those documents. I verified with the NVC that those documents were indeed in the packet that was sent to Tunisia, but to be safe he did obtain them again.
2nd Interview on Friday, 19 August 2011 went smoothly and my husband stated that he was only asked a few questions then was given a receipt and told to return in two weeks on a Wednesday where his visa would be ready to pick up.
All in all, I would say the experience wasn't bad, just a pain to have to go and get translations of documents again, but I just feel blessed that within a few short weeks I will finally have my husband in my arms forever.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
