Just wanted to say my experience was very good, and I was in and out quickly.
Got there at 630am and was the first one in line. Around 645, more people showed up. By 730, there was a huge line up. There was one woman that I was chatting with and she was a fellow VJ\'er too. (I didn\'t get her name but if she\'s reading this, I hope it all worked out for you!)Doors opened around 730, line up to the left of the doors. Once in, went through the security check and made my way downstairs. Sat next to the elevator, and around 8am, the security guard only allowed permanent visa applicants up first. I was first and received C1. Now, the numbers don\'t really mean anything because C3 and C6 were called to the windows first, then C1 and C2. Now, while you wait, there were more people arriving via elevator and that waiting room got really packed in 20 minutes. My biggest beef is the noise level...every one is chatting PLUS there is a kiddie play area which was noisy...it made it very hard to hear who\'s being called back over the PA system. So I suggest sitting by the speaker LOL
Ok so when I was called up to window 9, the guy took my fingerprints, passport medical evelope and handed me a DS-230 to fill out (but I had one filled out and handed that to him, he was pleased to see that). I had to go back to the waiting room and wait to be called to the next step. About 10 minutes later, I was called to window 10, and handed over my original certificates, support paperwork, petitioner\'s naturalization certificate or passport bio page, and asked to read over the ds230 and sign it. She handed me my xray CD and then told to me to go wait and around 20 minutes later I was called to booth 8 for the interview.
It was the woman with dreadlocks. She was all business folks. I stood there for 10 minutes while she matched up the copies to the originals in complete silence. She then asked me to raise my right hand and swear everything is the truth. She asked me how and where we met, when was the first time I actually met her, what does she do. After the questions she typed up some more info and then handed me a \'Welcome to the USA letter\'. She made eye contact with me when I was answering the questions, and never took them off me until she was satisfied. She does her job really well.
Thats it I was out of there by 9am.
