Embassy Review : |
My interview was on Sept. 13, 2011, 6:30am..
I woke up 3am, had coffee and got a shower then headed to US Embassy..I was there 4:40am with sis Ana and 3 of my pl sisters(closed group in FB)..Theres a lot of people there already. We fall in line around 6am and start entering the embassy around 6:15. The girl checked my appoinment letter, ds-forms and my passport. She arranged it and stapled. My passport was put in transparent plastic zip-lock. Before we finally enter the building we passed through in x-ray scanner for all the belongings and body check. I fall in line in window 3 for the checking of the forms and having stub for the number. The lady instructed me to drop the forms in window 39. I dropped the forms in window 39 and wait until my number will flash in the queing board. My number was 6034 and the numbers fashes in the queing board was randomed. While waiting, i was talking to my pl sisters and chikahan to the max ..after almost 2 hours of waiting, my number flashed and i went in window 40..she asked my name and birthdate and had finger scanning. She told me to wait my number to be flash again in the queing board. After 30 minutes my number flased at window 54 for the pre-screener. She is a pinay this time. She asked me the ff. questions:
What is your name?
When is your birthdate?
Who is your petitioner?
When & how i met my fiance?
When the last time i saw him?
When is our anniversary?
How long he stayed in PI?
What's my fiance's job?
then she ask me the form I-134, income tax return & w-2.. I gave all my fiance documents from 2008 to 2010 including the paystubs. She browsed all those then she only got the year 2010 and the form I-134. Then she asked me where my fiance live and i said he live in their house with his family. And how many of them live there..I said 6 of them all..(but its all 7!..i forgot to include he's cousin's gf :P) She asked me also to give snail mails/cards and our photos together..She just browsed the snai mails and picked one then she read it! I was blushing that time coz i know all the cards were containing sweet messages from my fiance. Then she took a look all the photos in there..
Then here what she said, well Ms. Nova im sorry to tell you that your fiance ddnt met the income requirement for the k1visa. I was shocked that time coz i know my fiance reached the bracket. Then i asked if co-sponsor is allowed but she refuse and said k1-visa is not allowed to co-sponsorship. Only the officer will decide if this will be accepted, she added.
I return to sit down and wait my number to be flash again..That time, i was crying and start losing my hope...Good thing my pl-sister (Kala) who sit down beside me and she comfort me..For almost an hour of waiting i was just praying all along..Then my number flashed in window 64. This time is my final interview to a consul..She is so pretty and lovely american and looks kind..
She greeted me and ask how are you Ms. Nova?..I said Im fine Ma'am but deep inside im so worried that time..She ask me to raise my right hand and.. bla.. bla...bla...This are the questions she asked:
Name of my fiance?
How old is he?
When & how we met?
When do i intend to arrive in the US?
What state is he from?
When is our wedding?
She took a look too of our photos together..and she praised it how i organized andd she said its so cute ; Finally, she said: Congratulations Ms. Nova, your visa is approved! Have a great wedding there in Hawaii
Woo-hoo! I made it! I know God helped me throughout my interview! Thanks God! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
