Consulate Review: Finland
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 26, 2011
Embassy Review : In overall consulate worked fast with everything; sending interview time and answering emails etc. The interview took about 40 minutes total. First I handed in my papers, sat down and waited about 10 minutes, then I was asked to give fingerprints and then I waited again about 10 minutes. The interview was quick and very nice consulate office asked maybe 5 to 7 questions, gave back our photos and said the visa is approved!! The experience was very nice and they were very friendly.
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: San Francisco
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-09-08
Embassy Review : I walked into the new immigrant line because I had read somewhere that I could use that line and there was no line at all.. the officer looked at my envelope and asked what is it. It seemed like he wasn´t sure what to do with it and he said I would get thru faster if I would just use the Visitors -line.
After waiting in a line, a very nice younger woman officer had a same question to me : "And what do have here?" when I handed in my envelope, passport and forms. She opened the envelope and checked something from the papers, marked my visa as used and stamped it. She also stapled part of I-94 form in my passport and explained that when I apply my AOS I will get more information what to do with that. And she showed me the date from the stamp how long I am allowed to be in Us in case marriage doesn´t happen.. and added a comment "which we hope doesn´t happen of course" and smiled. Only questions she asked was when will we get married and have I been in Us before.. is that how you met your fiance. She was very nice and it took maybe 5 minutes for her to process the papers.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
