Consulate Review: France
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 19, 2011
Embassy Review : From what I gathered from my fiance...it seems like he had an overall very positive experience. He told me there were 3 different booths/boxes you visit. One to check that all the required documents were in order, another person who asked interview questions and I am unsure what the last one was...we didn't discuss it. He said the lady interviewing him wasn't super great...but seemed to get nicer at the end of the inteerview. They didn't ask him any difficult questions...just if we had met each other's parents and who was going to pay for school for him when he comes. For the documentation...they took my 1040 and the letter from my financial consultant about my retirement plan. They are still accepting the I-134. From the sounds of it they said he should be receiving his visa once he completes his medical...since they called last minute with an opening and he didn't have enough time to get the medical done before. So he will go in two weeks back to Paris to finish that up...hopefully if all else goes as planned they will send him a visa mid-September! :-) I hope this helps.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
