My fiance said that entering the United States was easy. They let him know again that we would have to be married in 90 days. They went through all his belonging throughly and ask him a few questions from the interview. They took two envelopes from him that were sealed and he has not received his birth certificate back yet. It would be best if your fiance traveled light. |

Interview was scheduled for 11:30 a.m and we got there at 11:05 a.m. We were called back for the interview at 12:00pm. The counselor asked for my drivers license and Orlando's I-94, passport and I.D. She then pulled out our AOS filings and asked basic questions such as address, full name, how many people live at our address and date of birth. She then went through a list of govermental types questions like have you ever been trainied to created bombs and are you here to over throw the government, stuff like that. He answered "no" to all of that. She then looked at the medical and saw that everything was good. She then asked for pictures. We showed her our picture guestbook from the wedding which were our enagagement pictures and she loved it. Then we showed her wedding pics and she became emotional. Orlando and I were shocked. She said our wedding was so beautiful. She then said that we are approved. No questions about how we meet, how long, nothing. Very painless. |

Embassy Review : |
Here we go. Our appointment was 9:00 am on the 27th of May but we got there at 7:30. Thank God my cousin only lived 30 min away. The line was long but got in the line and waited. We prepared for this interview for months and he had every document possible (phone records, facebook communication, letters/postcards, digicel top ups, moneygram receipts, three letter of reference (two from my family, one from his family), non-impediment, medical (dont bring x-rays), 4 passport pics, all required forms (DS230 etc...), addvadavit of support (packed with evidence), copy of our wedding website, copy of our bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen tux and grooms tux, all of our wedding receipts of things that were already bought, etc. They laughed at him at the embassy because he was the only one with an old school laptop bag full. So back to the story. They let him in early but I had to wait across the street which was hell but it was worth the wait. After 5 longs hours my fiance came out with a smile on his face. Approved!!! The questions they asked him was
How did we meet?
When did we meet?
Has he met my family?
Have I meet his family?
Have he ever been committed of a crime?
Have I ever been committed of a crime?
Has he ever been to the U.S.?
A young white gentleman assisted him. Everyone gave him a round of applause for being so prepared. He was the talk of the embassy. I had everything organized with folders and labeled. Nothing stapled just paperclipped. The couselor just looked briefly at our scrapbook but focused more on the loose pics. Brings lots of family interaction pics. Overall, besides the wait in the hot sun, I WAD GREAT!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
