POE Review: Fort Lauderdale
Event Description
Entry Date : 2011-09-25
Embassy Review : I arrived to Fort Lauderdale Airport on September the 25th, 2011 with my 18yo son. We departured from Iternational Airport "Jorge Chavez" at Lima on 09/25/2011, at 8:15 am, by Spirit Airlines and arrived to Ft. Lauderdale Airport at 15:05, the same day. We made a visitors/tourist line and the inmmigation Officer told us to put our four fingers on a machine and then our thumbs, so they can register us and got pictures and data from us on their computers. Then he got a picture of us and then told us that he was going to take our packs (he only took the closed package and gave me the medical exams) and that he was going to take us to another office to be processed. We followed the officer and leaded us to another office. Inside there were two or three Inmigrant officers. The one who called on me was very nice and friendly. He asked me the following questions:

1.-Where are you gonna to live?
2.-Who is petition you and my son?
3.-What is your fiance's name?
4.-When is his birthday?
5.-When the wedding was gonna take place?

Then he asked me to take a sit and wait while he processed all the information he had, then he opened the package. After a while he called on me again and told me: "welcome to the United States". Outside my fiance was expecting for me and I kissed him and hugged him!!! Thank you, Lord!!!

It was really nice interview.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
