Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 8, 2011
Embassy Review : Had 8 am appointment, started queuing around 7.15 (and were 4th in line - by 7.30 there already was quite a line). Were called up for the document check around 8.05 as first I number and then got our "interview" a around just before 9. The IO just asked me to sign the DS-230 second part form and asked me when we would get married. As I just had bad news with regards to close family in Germany I explained that I would be spending a few months with my relative and she offered to put the visa on hold until I knew exactly when I was going to be able to travel, but left it up to me if I wanted to do that. Decided to do the visa now anyway and paid for delivery - out again by 9.15.
Was very pleasantly surprised how accommodating they were about my circumstances and no trouble whatsoever. Got a text 2 days after the interview that DX Secure has my passport and is going to deliver 3 days after the interview.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
