NVC requested long version of Marriage Certificate (Polish). The one given to us by the Polish Gov. was the short version. Only difference is Long includes Witnesses Names. What a pain! Going to cost us a month in time to get the long version, translate and send to USA. FYI to others.
NOTE: I wrote the NVC and told them we would have the long version at the interview. They completed the case based on this letter. Point is use common sense, make deals with the NVC if possible. Write professionally. |

Embassy Review : |
I hope some can gain some insight from this review. I don't want to mislead people and hope that they are not late to such an important meeting but my wife got lost in Warsaw (Using the GPS!) and called me in a panic asking for help to find another address to put in the GPS as the Street the Embassy is on changes names three times within a few blocks.
Anyway, she was going to be late so I called the embassy (it was 4 AM local time for me!) The woman I spoke with was very nice, she said don't worry if your wife is late it is not a problem, she said she could show up in the afternoon it was still not a problem. So called the wife back and told her to stop running red lights, no hurries!
Other reviews are good and accurate so I won't add too much more except that I was kind of shocked about one aspect of the interview process. I thought in my mind that the "Actual Interview" took place in a private office with maybe a closed door. I was shocked to find out that the whole interview process takes place in front of a glass window! You have to stand at the window and there is no privacy at all, others in the room hear all your questions and responses. That's the only part of the process that I found odd. The rest is as written by others.
I am happy that the process is almost over. It's a really long time to be away from someone you love. I hope others have the flawless experience we have had but I wish it take you less time.
Best to all! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
