My interview was really easy and very stress free! I arrived just before 7am, and was fourth in line. The line got really long shortly after that. At 7:30 a guard checked our interview letters and let us in. We had to wait to go through security one-by-one. After security I went and sat as close to the elevator as possible, as did other VJ'ers and the guard let us go up in the elevator just before 8am. I stood in line for my ticket and got CR3 and sat and waited to be called. Once I had handed in my original documents, my fingerprints were taken, my DS 230 was handed in (it is a great idea to fill this out at home and bring it with you as it saves a lot of time!), and it was time for my interview! I was only the second interview, and it was short and sweet. A very nice blonde lady did my interview, but she was also training someone else, so she really only asked me two questions - how did I meet my husband and where would I be living. Other than that she spent the next 5 minutes showing the trainee how to go through my file, and then she said I was approved! I mentioned that the interview was very easy, and she said that was because I was an easy case, open-and-shut. Over all it was relatively painless, and not worth stressing over. I was out by 8:50am and was able to enjoy the rest of my day in Montreal! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
