Embassy Review : ARRIVED AT THE EMBASSY AT 5:30 AM, MAY 14TH FOR THE INTERVIEW.HAD TO WAIT FOR A WHILE BEFORE THE GUARDS WOULD LET US IN. SOMEWHERE AROUND 6:15AM WE WERE ALLOWED IN. WENT THROUGH SECURITY, ON TO IMMIGRANT VISA SECTION.AFTER A LITTLE WHILE MY WIFE WAS ALLOWED TO TURN IN THE DS FORMS AND GET THE NUMBER.THAT NUMBER WAS OUR NUMBER FOR THE REST OF OUR STAY THERE AT THE EMBASSY. MAYBE 9:45AM WE WERE CALLED FOR THE PRE-SCREEN, NOT TO GOOD FOR A 7:30AM APPOINTMENT. THE PRE-SCREENER WAS A NICE GUY. WANTED TO KNOW HOW WE MET AND ASKED FOR THE I-134 SUPPORT FORMS AND FEW E-MAILS AND SOME WEDDING PICTURES AND PICTURE OF OUR FIRST MEETING. HE ALSO ASKED FOR SOME LETTERS, WE GAVE HIM WHAT HE ASKED FOR. HE WAS BUSY READING THEM AFTER WE LEFT THE WINDOW.

AFTER MAYBE 30 MINUTES WE WERE CALLED TO WINDOW 27 FOR THE ACTUAL INTERVIEW. VERY NICE MAN, JUST ASKED HOW WE MET AND WAS LOOKING OVER THE FORMS FOR A WHILE. HE SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, YET THE FINGERPRINTS HAD TO BE REPEATED 3 TIMES. THE LAST TIME HE WENT TO TAKE THE FINGERPRINTS HIMSELF. AFTER HE SAID APPROVED, WE ASKED FOR A VISA PICK-UP SINCE WE WERE NEEDING TO GO NEXT WEEK FOR MY SON'S WEDDING. HE SAID NO PROBLEM. SO ON FRIDAY WE GOT THE CALL THAT WE COULD PICK UP THE VISA ON MONDAY MAY 19TH. SO TODAY MAY 19 WE WENT BACK TO THE EMBASSY AND GOT THE VISA. ALL IN ALL WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE, MUCH BETTER THAN ALL THE WAITING FOR THE OTHER PAPERWORK FOR SO LONG. GIVE THEM A 5 VERY GOOD

Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : GOT TO THE IMMIGRATION AND WAS ALMOST THE LAST ONE TO BE SEEN FOR THE K-3 VISA.
THE GUARDS LET ME ACCOMPANY MY WIFE UP TO THE WINDOW. SO WE BOTH CLEARED IMMIGRATION AT THE SAME TIME. SAVES TRYING TO FIND HER LATER. HE ASKED ME HOW LONG I HAD BEEN OUT OF THE STATES. THEN HE ASKED MY WIFE MINDA HOW LONG WE HAD BEEN MARRIED. ASKED ME WHAT I DID FOR A LIVING. SAID RETIRED. THEN HE ASKED WHAT KINDS OF WORK I HAD DONE BEFORE RETIREMENT.

THEN HE PROCEEDED TO OPEN THE SEALED PACKAGE AND READ THROUGH THE DOCUMENTS. SEEING EVERYTHING WAS IN ORDER HE JUST STAMPED THE L-94 AND THE PASSPORT AND SAID TO HERE WELCOME TO US. SO SIMPLE AND EASY. GREAT GUY AND A VERY GOOD MAN. DID HIS JOB WITHOUT IN HARRASEMENT HARRASEMENT LEVEL 0

Embassy Review : we arrived early and signed in and they gave us a number. so we waited for a long time. our appointment time was 11:30 am and just past 12:00 lunch time, they said just to come back after lunch. after lunch we kept waiting for another hour before a woman called our number and we went back to her room. she found our file and started going thru the file and then asked for my wife's birth certificate. she did not like the looks of it, and said we would have to get a new one. we told her that it was issued by the NSO in the philippines and if you got another one it would be the same, by the way i had extra copies of with me. she then asked to see our proofs of living together, so i gave her bank letter and insurance letter and other papers from the state of florida showing that we lived in the same address. that is all she wanted even though i had brough a briefcase full of documents and proofs per the visa guides. the she asked my wife if she had a criminal record or was planning criminal activity.

after that she just said that there were more checks to be done, and to wait for the letter. no approval or any other work. in other words a mean old cranky woman, give her a worst for an interviewer
Harassment Level : Very Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
