Comments : We were prepared, had 4 photo albums, one of the pictures we took of me visiting him and him visiting me, one of the pictures since I moved, one of the wedding and a Polaroid one of the funny Polaroid we take everywhere. We had all the documentation ready and a letter from his mom just in case.
The interview went smoothly. The officer ask me some detailed question about my name, the name of my parents, the name of my husband, then the officer asked me about 10 of the questions that you had to answer in the documentation about terrorism, prostitution, working illegally,... then she asked us to tell our story. We started from the very beginning and told as much details as possible. It was so emotional because that’s when you realize that you went trough a lot and that you are here in front of the officer praying to get approved. She asked us some clarification when we were explaining like why did we decide to start that specific process. And we explained that we knew there were the lottery option but that we realised that we were in love and that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. That we really thought about the marriage consequences and we took our time because we didn’t wanted to do it without being sure. Then she asked for the proofs and when she saw me pulling all the photo albums from my bag she didn’t say nothing so I opened the wedding one and showed that I chose my dress with my family in Belgium before coming she ask to see pictures of the dress and then she took her big “-approved” stamp and put it on our file. She added the stamp in my passport too and hand it it back to me saying “I have the pleasure to tell you that you are now an American resident” we thanked her a thousand times and that was it.
We had an amazing experience. We were so stressed but we were ready for anything.
Wish you the best for your interview !

Well, it went well and not haha my Visa is approved but on one condition. I had to send back via email an extra affidavit of support instead of the co sponsor document we filled in for his mother. They did not accept the I-864A we filled in................ They needed an extra affidavit on the name of the co sponsor... But it's a formality as the consul said that it is approved, I just need to send them the correct document via email. I did it, I should receive an answer and my visa in my passport in 4 business days ❤️ now is praying time

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
