Comments : Initially they didn't accept our marriage certificate at the NVC. They said the image wasn't clear enough and we had to re-upload and wait an additional 4 weeks for review. A total of 8 weeks document review time at the NVC.
-------------------

- Kingston interview time: 7:30 AM
- Arrived at 6:00 AM (wasn't risking being late)
- We waited across the street, per Embassy instruction, until our appointment group time was called
- We were seated inside by 7:30 AM
- Our number was called at 9:25 AM to go to the window, we gave them the official copies of our documents and photos and told to have a seat until our name was called.
- We were seen again at the window at 12:25 PM. During the wait our case was reviewed. At this time he informed us our packet was very well detailed, no questions were needed and we were approved! We were told since we opted to pick up the visa when it's ready it'll be available to pick up in 1-2 weeks.
----------------------

When registering the appointment we chose to pick up the completed visa at the Mobay DHL. It was picked up from Kingston on a Friday and available for us to pick up on Monday even though the tracking website said Tuesday.

Port of Entry Review

Port of Entry : Baltimore
POE Date : 2019-09-17
Got EAD Stamp :
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : 30 minutes from the time of landing to completing the immigration process. Very quick, but also there weren't any other international flights arriving around the same time.

Notification about when to file for removal of conditions was given which was at least 30 days prior to our 2 year anniversary.

Also the process is now paperless. Meaning in the past a packet was given to the beneficiary, told not to open and give to the immigration officer upon arrival but that is no longer the case. They are able to pull you up in their system.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Our experience was fair. We did not experience any negativity. Only drawback is that it took 5 hours from the time of entering the building to completing the interview.

It was a little offputting to hear one of the person's who worked there interviewing people, to hear all of her conversations with everyone. I understand it is in an open room but other interviewers had more discretion than her.

I truly have no idea! I wish I knew! But I included quite a bit of evidence including showing our life insurance policies, emergency contacts at work, conversations, travel receipts, copies of all of the pages in my passport and more.

Jesse927 I heard 3 to 4 weeks but I've also heard that Kingston embassy schedules all their interviews on the 22nd of the month. Hopefully we get letters this month. Fingers crossed for us both.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
