Interview took about an hour. Went over the list of questions on the application such as drug dealing, communism, terrorism etc
Went over income, reviewed original certificates, looked through our wedding photobook, asked about children, how we met, specifically just first two visits and engagement. Very informative and talkative lady. Better than the interview at the embassy! |

Embassy Review : |
Took about 30 minutes to get inside embassy. Spent in total about 2 hours at the embassy. The two lines to get inside took the longest. First window going over paperwork- they only wanted the affidavit of support and employer letter no IRS pr pay stubs but we had it all in case. Fiance attended with me. When we were called to the actual interview we both swore the oath and fiance (us citizen) was asked 2 questions about where she lives and I was asked one question about how we met. Visa approved in a few minutes and we were out the door. |

Timeline Comments: 16Hi there, was just wondering whether you had to call the NVC to get your case number? Thanks x
I called on 9/19 and did not have number. I sent an email inquiry and received a response on 9/20 with the case number assignment.
That's great which email address did you send it to? Thank you
How did you schedule your interview without packet three?
After the NVC CEAC status says in transit you are able to schedule an appointment, I'm not saying that it's the best way to do things, we had to go back in and fix an error because we were essentially going in blind without the packet and instructions but otherwise the system allows it.
Congratulations on your approval. That's amazing news.
congratulations on your approval!!!
I am going for my interview on the 26th so I am hoping it is as quick, painless and successful as yours! haha
Did they happen to mention how long it would take for your passport/visa to be returned??

sorry about the multiple posts...my computer freaked out and glitched on me *facepalm*
They gave us a card that says 7-10 days for processing the visa then itll be in the mail so we are expecting the passport to arrive first week of December.

Just to update, we still do not have our passport/visa back we are in AP so we are lost in a blackhole with no answer. Some people get it back fast, some don't.
When they put you in AP, did you receive any communication from the embassy to provide additional documentation?
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
