Local US CIS Office Review: Chicago IL

Event Description
Review Date : August 9, 2017
Embassy Review : We are so happy with the Chicago Office! My husband was adjusting his status from a B2 visa. Our interview date was four months from the date of our application submission. From the moment we went up the escalator, the security guy was very smiley and let us know where to check in. We had a long wait because the couple before us had to be questioned separately, but our interview was less than 20 minutes. The agent flipped through our initial application, asked me how we met, if we had met each other's parents, and then very casual questions. I had prepared an enormous amount of copies, additional evidence, etc, but all he asked me for was our new lease since we had renewed just two weeks prior. He told us he would approve our case, apologized for our wait before the interview, and we received my husband's green card in the mail one week later!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
