Comments : Our I-130 petition was filed DCF through the USCIS Field Office at the US Embassy CDMX. During the Tuesday, 21 March 2017 medical examination, it was determined that Jose Luis would be required to undergo TB sputum testing. Culture test results are determined 8 weeks thereafter. In early February 2017 the DHS and CDC issued a new requirement that all Immigration Visa applicants who have had health issues that have compromised their immune system must undergo the TB sputum culture tests. His results are negative. This 'bump in the road' resulted in his CR-1 Immigrant Visa being rescheduled for Friday, 7 July 2017. CR-1 Immigration Visa approved at July 7, 2017 interview US Consulate, Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 picked up MX passport with approved Visa at DHL office. Tickets purchased for Friday, August 18, 2017 non-stop flight GDL-SFO for POE.

Event Description

Embassy Review : Filed our I-130 petition at the USCIS Field Office at the US Embassy Mexico-CDMX the first week in December 2016. It was processed expediently, with notification that our packet was being forwarded to the Consular Services Section at the US Consulate Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico for pre-interview CR-1 Immigration Visa handling. Very professional and efficient experience.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
