Comments : Hello

My appointment day, 1:30PM
I went to the embassy with my husband, and I had all my documents in copies in case they needed anything. I also had a certified translation of my birth certificate, as it was not in English, and it was the original one as well as a copy. I had my husband's tax report, pay stubs, and etc.

The immigration line was tiny! Us and another couple. So after their interview, it was our turn. I went to the window number 7 which is for immigration visas. The officer talked to me a little about our relationship where we met, where did I go to school, and where and how did we get married. Then he asked me about my husband's ongoing salary certificate. Unfortunately we didn't have it!

I had to sit down, after a few minutes I had to talk to another officer. He also asked me about my husband's ongoing salary certificate. We were confused as they always ask for the tax reports, and pay stubs. We had those but not the Ongoing Salary! He finally asked me to check a computerized form, which was my information, and he said this will be in my passport as my immigration visa, so he wanted to make sure that the entire information was correct, and also signed another paper which was the legall information about immigrating to United States.

Then he gave me a 221g paper, asked for my husband's Ongoing Salary Certificate in United States.

We left the embassy after about 3 hours. My husband wrote a letter to his boss in United States and asked for a clarification on his Ongoing Salary and she MAILED us an original paper that addressed my husband's yearly salary. It should be more than the poverty line in United States.

I mailed the document, plus my husband's email to his boss, and a copy of the Salary Certificate, as well as my PASSPORT to the embassy via ARAMEX.

I waited four days. and I had my passport back to me plus a big mailing packet that I should NOT open. So here was my story. Hope I could help. All the best. N & B

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
