Embassy Review : |
We get to embassy 1 hour before our appointment, the officers at entrance have our names, we pass for security and go to the second floor. There we pass for the first guy, him check if we have all documents for interview. My device is check many times everything because have couples can't continue without the documents, this guy will give to you a form with simple questions, don't worry him will explain how to fill this, after we wait for the next officer.
The next officer ask for my name and check the documents the first guy check too, ask simples question like address, birth day, complete name, for the first time we look our package, I-129F, was very big with many notes. The officer check everything and say for we back to chairs and wait for the interview, during this time we listen everything the other couples say in the interview and if they are approved or not. Don't be nervous, every case is a case.
The next was the Consul, him say my name and we go to the cabin, him ask if I speak english I say yes, and him say will make the interview in english, I say, ok (this happen too because my fiancé don't speak portuguese, just english, if you don't speak english very well and your fiancé speak portuguese, don't worry they will make the interview in portuguese, but my other device is, you going to move to other country, this country speak english, learn first here in Brazil the maximum you can, the schools in U.S. are expensive and you have the chance and time to be better) next step is make the swearing and him start the interview, him make this questions:
- How I learn english
- How we meet each other
- When we meet each other
- When we start have a real relationship
- When we decide get married
- What I like in my fiancé and what him like too
- If i meet him parents
- If him meet my parents
- If him ask my hand to my parents
- How many times I travel to U.S. (I travel to U.S. with my tourist visa 2 times)
- What is the other places we travel together (we travel to Italy in my birthday)
- How many times him come to Brazil (was the first time)
- Ask for see our proofs of relationship, pictures of travels, with parents and when we meet each other.
- Ask question about my fiancé work and routine
- Ask about why I don't use a ring (I don't use a ring, we are not tradicional, don't worry if you don't have one, but if you have, congratulations!)
- Ask if my fiancé will give me one and will ask for my parents
- Ask about what our plans for our wedding,
- When the wedding going to be
- If my family go to wedding (All my family have U.S. Tourist Visa they go to wedding)
- Ask what the things my fiancé lake in Brazil
Yes, was many questions, this is the questions I remember, but the device is, be calm, try answer everything very clear and don't lie, never, the consul check all information you give to him.
After that him cancel my tourist visa and say we are approval and will give to me a Fiancé visa (I can't have 2 visas in my passport, if you have the U.S. tourist Visa this will happen too, don't worry) and my passport will delivery to my home in two weeks, the last thing him ask if my fiancé will wait for the passport for we go together to U.S. him say no, because him need back for work.
Thats all, I hope help every fiancés and Good lucky!

- Quantas vezes ele esteve no Brasil (Era a primeira vez)
