Oath Ceremony : 2021-04-26
Comments : By the time i had my interview, i had a plan to visit my country, Egypt,it was the following day after my interview. I asked the officer what to do if I received my oath ceremony while i am outside the country, he told me to send along with the notice a postpone letter with explanation why cant i attend the ceremony. I surprisingly received my oath ceremony short after my interview, it was April 19th, i left the letter for postpone along with my mail key with someone i trust so, once she receive my ceremony letter while my husband and i are abroad she would sent the postponing request. I requested to be in late July since this is the timeframe i planned to be back to the states, but shockingly i received the second oath one week after the first date, they postponed me only for one week. Anyways, i had to run back to the states to catch my ceremony, and could not find flights, i found one was same day of my ceremony, and i came from airport right to the uscis office, but sadly they did not let me enter since i had to be quarantined for 10 days something they mentioned in the website but not in any letter. I was very sad because i had to leave my son and my dog with my family to come have the ceremony and go back to my family and made planes and booked flights accordingly. I tried to talk to the officer to have an exception but that did not happened, but what happened he scheduled me same day for a date 11 days later and that was after alot of talking with him but at this moment i was so grateful that at least i have another date and not just wait for the unknown date time. I went to the ceremony and found out it was just a special day for me, and that day felt even more grateful to the officer and he was the same person did the oath for me. Hope my story help everyone out there and happy to help anyone with any questions. Its a very long journey but well worth it.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
