Embassy Review : My husband and I just had our AOS interview yesterday. We received a notification this morning that he was Approved!

Interview went great! Appointment was scheduled for 10:15. We arrived around 9:40, Checked in, went upstairs to sit in the waiting room, and we were called within 10 minutes. Interview overall took about 20 minutes. We were asked about how we met, where we were married, who cooked at home, if we wanted to have kids, if we both were working, who attended our wedding, what we were doing for valentines day and many other simple questions.

She scanned through all the documents we brought with us including bank records, christmas and wedding cards from our families, wedding venue receipts, wedding photo album, and other photos showing different time periods throughout our relationship. At the end of the interview she said she would review our case at the end of the day and if she needed anymore info we would be notified by mail in the next month. Instead we were notified within 24 hours of his approval!

Overall it was a smooth process. From start to finish (initial application mailed in to approval) it took 71 days. Much quicker than we expected!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
