Embassy Review : My wife entered the U.S via VWP and I as her husband was very worried that she may have been denied so I have waited at the carousal (even though my all my luggage was already out, I pretended that they weren't mine just so that I can stay here longer and wait for my wife). Anyways it took about an hour and luckily she passed and did not had to go to the 2nd stage of the interview. But she told me that the officer have asked her many questions and that she was to a point a red face (nervousness). Anyways it was a good experience and she is with me. Our AOS started after we hired an immigration lawyer to help with the process and don't want to risk if I did it my self.

So I'm hoping that everything will go well smoothly in our journey and hope that our AOS will get approved.

Embassy Review : So today we had an interview scheduled at 10 AM. About 10:20 AM the IO called our name and we then proceeded to the room for an interview. The interview only took about 5-10 minute and pretty much all he asked us was some questions based on the I-485 packet that is in front of him. He asked me a question about what I was doing in Kenya because that is what he saw on my passport. Anyways all went well. The IO did ask my wife some questions pertaining to the packet as well. The IO did not ask any other questions based on the documents we bought in. After the short interview, the IO said that we should expect a mail within a month. As expected, I have checked the USCIS site for the status and our case was approved. We are expecting a letter in the mail about the approval and about 60 days till we receive my wife's GC.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
